Some time ago, we were approached by gentlemen from Japan who were very interested in licensing with us to manufacture the Model A and the new Tactio instruments.
We met with them and several conversations through intermediaries ensued, in which we came close to agreement.
They promised to send us some Kobe beef, a delicacy for those with good taste and ample funds. They were very involved in preparing a market for it in Dubai.
Never got the beef. Never got the deal. They became bogged down in the hot sands of financial folly. Last we heard, they had lost countless millions. Too bad; they would have done better with product the world really needs.
Great learning: Work with people who are like-minded in terms of vision. (It’s not enough to merely connect with those who have money to burn.) Last but not least, work only with those with whom you share a language. (The daisy-chain method of communication proved trying.)
